The Mirja-Sachs-Foundation is funding, together with the W.P. Schmitz Foundation, the construction of a solid school in Mongnam, province of Houaphanh. This construction is carried out together with the German-Laos Association for Development (GLAD) and the whole village helped with the construction. Thanks to its robust construction, the school building is used all year round, by children in the mornings while in the evening, reading and writing lessons for adults take place.
