Following the relationship established by the Mirja Sachs Foundation with the Msafiri primary school, we were requested by the newly established Modellschulen für Afrika to support this secondary school neighbouring with Msafiri. Modellschulen für Afrika is the secondary education outlet for talented Msafiri students and since its inception in 2014, 80 girls and boys live and learn here. Modellschulen für Afrika orientation has differentiating factors such as its curricula which includes a focus on natural sciences. At the end of 2016 the need became acute for separate sleeping quarters and for a chemistry and physics laboratory. In 2017, 120 children are already being taught, the classrooms need to be extended urgently. Mirja sachs Foundation supported the financing of another school building with 2 classrooms and toilets.
